POPS & WOPS

BIOGRAPHY

Koen De Cauter started playing New Orleans Jazz at young age. This passion never went away and many projects and recordings followed internationally and even in the Crescent City.

Koen passed this love for the style on to his children and by doing so his eldest son Waso also developed a passion for the music.
Meanwhile this story goes on for another generation: Waso's 18 year old son Djalt also shares a love for the style.
Djalt and (grand)father Koen - two musical soulmates - rehearse together on weekly base and perform at least monthly in Bar Lume

(Pops & Wops is the unofficial house band) and by doing so they pass on the tradition.

And to make everything even beter they surround themselves with local great musicians in the genre.
New Orleans with a fair share of swing!
