Maro is a chamber ensemble of three young upcoming musicians from Ghent composed of Nele Vernaillen on flute, Marieke D’hose on accordion and Djalt Baculalay on guitar and vocals.

Together these three youthful and talented musicians bring a unique program of chamber music composed of jazz numbers, folklore and gypsy songs with a personal and characteristic twist.

 

The strong distinctive musicality of the three musicians and the strong playful interaction between the beautiful flute melodies of Nele dancing with the marvelous accordion lines of Marieke above the subtle but strong guitar sounds of Djalt create a dreamy, intimate and magical atmosphere filled with adventure, beauty and humor.
